Gang History:
The SCPD has recently discovered more information on the infamous street gang known as the, 14th Street Familia. We've also recently received intel on the gang's current activities & it's origins. Fifteen years ago, a man named, Benjamin Blanco a.k.a. Benny, founded 14th Street in his hometown of Star City with his childhood friend, Jose Rivera a.k.a. Pepe. Though Blanco was sixteen at the time, his name was already known throughout the Kensett Beach neighborhood. Blanco used his his street smarts to gain the respect of many locals. After word got out that Benny Blanco was recruiting new members, hundreds of locals were jumped into the gang. Within three weeks of starting 14th Street, they were over 267 members strong, running the Bakersfield district. Within four months, they had more than 600 members. Blanco and his new army were making a name for themselves in Star City. After robbing the Fallstone City bank and getting away with over $2,500,000, the 14th Street Families became a federal threat to the state. In 1998, Benny Blanco was arrested for masterminding the robbery. He was sentenced to five years in the Kingsport State Penitentiary. While in prison, Blanco left his right-hand man & gang co-founder, Pepe Rivera, in charge of 14th Street. While serving time on the inside, Blanco founded the Kingsport chapter of the 14th Street, and started recruiting. The gang's reputation had spread to Kingsport, as Blanco recruited over 356 members within a few weeks. The gang now had heavy influence in two major cities. After a while Blanco also befriended fellow inmate, Pedro Santana, after saving him in the showers. Santana is the boss of the notorious Kingsport Cartel. After gaining Santana's trust, 14th Street & the Kingsport Cartel had become allies. Santana's men on the outside started supplying 14th Street members in both Kingsport & Star City with over 200 kilograms of cocaine every week. As the gang started to get wealthier, their power also expanded. In 2002, Pepe Rivera founded the Fallstone City chapter of 14th Street. After finally being released in 2004, Benny Blanco had reclaimed total control of all 14th Street chapters once again. Over the years, the gang has made more allies such as the Eighty Tray Bandits & 79th Hoover Royalty. They've also recently gone to war with the North Durham Brims & the M.O.B. for Star City.
