File #342:
Gang Name - Valentino Crime Family
Gang Turf - Saint Gracys, West Emory, Boardwalk
Gang HQ - Toni's Bistro
Gang History:
Sometime around the autum of 1950, Emilio Valentino otherwise known as "Bugsy", rose to power on Fallstone City's northside. Within a few months, the Saint Gracys area was under his control. With some help from his childhood friend, Silvio Mangetti a.k.a. "Big Sil", they took over every business & racket in the neighborhood. Valentino was the brains of the operation, while Mangetti provided the muscule. Since they'd both earned the respect of the locals by protecting them from outsiders, recruiting was no problem for Valentino. After recruiting enough soldiers for his & Mangetti's gambling rackets, Valentino decided to form his very own Cosa Nostra, with the idea that it would bring organization and structure to his operations. A few blocks away from Saint Gracys, the Sambrini family was taking over the majority of businesses on the northside of Fallstone. With the Sambrinis getting more and more greedy, war soon broke out between the two. After being named Don of the new Valentino family, Emilio made Mangetti his Consigliere and began to make major moves on the streets. His first act of business was expanding the family's empire to the city of New Denville in 1955. Don Valentino used his new connections from New Denville to get his family in on the action in the city's drug-trade. With the Renegade Reapers being the city's top druglords, Don Valentino was forced to either allign his family with the bikers or risk a drug war with them. Since he didn't have many soldiers protecting his assests out there, Don Valentino took the safe route and became allies with the Renegade Reapers motorcycle club in 1958. Over the years, the family's wealth and power grew dramatically. They were making millions every week. However in 1964, one of the family's low-ranked associates became a rat and leaked information on the family's activities to the FCPD. With some help from the FBI, indictments were brought against Don Valentino, Silvio Mangetti, and their two Capo Regimes, Benny Antamarcie a.k.a. "Bumpy" & Anton Ciccero a.k.a. "Toni". Valentino's only son, Frank "Little Frankie" Valentino, took over as Don in his father's absence. As the years passed, their mob war with the Sambrinis raged on. While Emilio Valentino and his top family members were still locked up, the Valentino family was getting chased out of Fallstone by the Sambrinis. After a failed hit attempted was made on his life, Frank Valentino became paranoid and was forced to use the few soldiers he had left to expand the family to Star City in 1972, in an attempt to flea the rising threat of the Sambrinis. While in Star City, the Valentinos layed low for a few years as they continued to make money off of the New Denville drug-trade. They soon became allies with the Wang-Shu Triads and took control of the West Emory neighborhood. In 1989, Emilio Valentino and the rest of his top family members were finally released from prison after each serving a 25-year sentence. Don Valentino was displeased with the condition the family was in while under his son's leadership. He immidiately reassumed power and started expanding back into Fallstone City. After reclaiming the neighborhood of Saint Gracys in 1990, the Valentinos were back and more powerful than ever. Over the years, Don Valentino has grown old but his family has grown even stronger. To this very day, the Valentinos and the Sambrinis are still fighting for control of Fallstone.
