When you're creating your character, in the area where it says classification, it basically means what kind of person will your character be. Here are all of the classifications available to your character:
Vigilante- These guys can be anything from a hired bodyguard, to a getaway driver, to a contract assassin. They can be hired by other the characters of other members, to do dirty work for them... for the right price.
Gangbanger- This is your typical average street gang member. They do petty crimes like street racing, theft, graffiti, gang brawls, etc....
Mafioso- These types of characters are usually of Italian descent. They do favors for their boss or "Don". They pledge their undying loyalty to their Cosa Nostra (Mafia).
Biker- These guys are the rebels of the city. They ride motorcycles, stay in clubs and groups usually wear vests to represent the biker gang they're in. Don't cross their paths.
Druglord- These guys run the powerful & wealthy drug cartels. They consist of some of the richest, most dangerous people in the city.
Detective- These are the men of the law. They have the power to investigate, arrest, or frame the characters of other members.
Civilian- These are the everyday citizens of the Street Empire World. They have no ties to crime whatsoever.
